Radiant Heating is a safe and effective method of heating floors and transferring heat to room’s occupants through energy waves.  The process itself is more efficient than convection because energy (heat) transfers only when the energy wave produced strikes another surface. This means only the area directly above the floor is actually warmed. With convection heating systems, hot air rises towards the ceiling, wasting energy. Is Radiant Heat Safe?

While the idea of pulsing waves of heat emanating from your floorboards does sound a bit dangerous, we assure you that reputable radiant heat systems are 100% safe.  Radiant heat doesn’t turn your floor into a hotplate; rather it sends regulated waves of warmth upwards resting closer to the surface of the ground.  You are never exposed to heating elements or open flames as in gas and oil heating systems.  Also, radiant heating systems are free of hazardous moving parts.
